9. Hyperlinks, “Cookies,” and Internet Tag

The seico.fr website contains a number of hyperlinks to other sites, established with the authorization of seico.fr. However, seico.fr is not able to verify the content of the sites visited in this way, and therefore assumes no responsibility in this regard.

Unless you choose to disable cookies, you agree that the site may use them. You can disable these cookies at any time and free of charge using the deactivation options available to you, as described below, although this may reduce or prevent access to some or all of the services offered by the site.

9.1 “Cookies”

A “cookie” is a small information file sent to the User’s browser and stored within the User’s terminal (e.g., computer, smartphone). This file includes information such as the User’s domain name, internet service provider, operating system, as well as the date and time of access. Cookies cannot in any way damage the User’s terminal.

seico.fr may process information from the User regarding their visit to the Site, such as the pages viewed and searches performed. This information allows seico.fr to improve the Site’s content and User navigation.

Cookies facilitate browsing and/or the provision of services offered by the Site. The User may configure their browser to decide whether or not to accept cookies so that cookies are stored on their terminal, or, conversely, are rejected, either systematically or depending on the sender. The User may also configure their browser software so that acceptance or refusal of cookies is offered from time to time, before a cookie is likely to be stored on their terminal. seico.fr informs the User that, in this case, some functionalities of their browser software may not be available.

If the User refuses to allow cookies on their terminal or browser, or if the User deletes those already stored, the User is informed that their browsing and experience on the Site may be limited. This may also occur if seico.fr or one of its providers cannot recognize, for compatibility purposes, the type of browser used by the terminal, its language and display settings, or the country from which the terminal appears to be connected to the internet.

If applicable, seico.fr declines all responsibility for the consequences related to degraded Site performance and services resulting from (i) the refusal of cookies by the User, (ii) seico.fr’s inability to save or consult the cookies necessary for their operation due to the User’s choice. For cookie management and User preferences, the configuration of each browser is different. It is described in the help menu of the browser, which will explain how the User can modify their cookie preferences.

At any time, the User may choose to express and modify their preferences regarding cookies. seico.fr may also use the services of external providers to help collect and process the information described in this section.

Finally, by clicking on the icons dedicated to social networks (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google Plus) on the seico.fr Site or in its mobile application, and if the User has accepted the deposit of cookies by continuing to browse the seico.fr website or mobile application, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google Plus may also place cookies on your terminals (computer, tablet, mobile phone).

These types of cookies are only deposited on your terminals if you consent to them, by continuing your browsing on the seico.fr website or mobile application. The User may withdraw their consent at any time regarding seico.fr depositing such cookies.

9.2 Internet Tags

seico.fr may occasionally use Internet tags (also called “tags,” action tags, single-pixel GIFs, clear GIFs, invisible GIFs, and one-to-one GIFs) and deploy them through a web analytics partner that may be located (and therefore store corresponding information, including the User’s IP address) in a foreign country.

These tags are placed both in online advertisements allowing users to access the Site and on the various pages of the Site itself.
This technology allows seico.fr to evaluate visitor responses to the Site and the effectiveness of its actions (for example, the number of times a page is opened and the information viewed), as well as the User’s use of the Site.

The external provider may collect information about visitors to the Site and other websites through these tags, compile reports on Site activity for seico.fr, and provide other services relating to the use of the Site and the internet.
